About the Seminar:

Matthew Thomson and Anna Forsyth from the Master Policy brokers, Lockton, discuss risk management for Scottish Solicitors. 

 

In this seminar, Lockton will discuss the importance of internal and external communications in mitigating and avoiding professional indemnity claims. The seminar will look at claims and risk management in the context of the Law Society’s Master Policy with opportunities for you to take home some practical suggestions.

• Examples and case studies that have been drawn from real Master Policy claims. 

• Opportunities for interaction and questions from practitioners on areas of risk.

• Practical advice around the steps for building a successful risk management strategy.

 

About the Speakers:

Matthew Thomson

Matthew leads the risk management work for the Master Policy Team at Lockton and deals with all aspects of client service. Matthew worked in private practice before joining the Law Society of Scotland where he was in the professional practice team, advising and supporting solicitors on practice and ethical matters. At Lockton, Matthew is responsible for delivering risk management information and support to individual solicitor clients and the profession as a whole.

 

Anna Forsyth

Anna is a qualified solicitor and a member of the Master Policy Team at Lockton. Anna was a practising family lawyer for 14 years and has also worked as an online editor providing professional support content. Anna’s role at Lockton focuses on providing risk management support to Scottish law firms. She works closely with the Law Society to raise awareness of risk management issues and to support the profession.
