The new court programme (effective as from Monday 29th August) has been published. (which is the beginning of Week 1 in the 4 week cycle),
This programme is subject to one amendment - Court 19 is shown as a jury court. This was dependent on obtaining SCTS approval to run a sixth jury court. That approval came too late to run a sixth jury court at this time, for a variety of reasons. As a consequence, Court 19 will remain as a mainstream summary trial court until the week commencing 24th October (that which follows the October school week) at which time it will convert to a sixth jury court.
Two other matters are worthy of mention.
Mainstream IDs only move to two weeks before the trial diet with effect from Monday 31 October 2022. It will remain at four weeks before the trial until them.
The adoption procedural court (which sits on the Wednesday of Week 4 in Court 22) will be discontinued with effect from the end of this calendar year. The adoption and permanence business will be case managed by the family sheriffs and will call within the family courts from the beginning of next year.
