About the event

In a an informal setting, Employment Judge Hoey will talk to us about access to justice and practical issues arising when appearing in the Employment Tribunal. This is aimed at practitioners who wish to or who already appear in the Employment Tribunal and wish to hear a view from the bench and about how to ensure employment justice is secured. He will also consider some of the developments on the horizon from an employment law and procedure perspective.

Employment Judge Hoey was an accredited employment law specialist and visiting professor of employment law. He was also a fee paid Employment Judge sitting in Scotland before becoming a salaried Employment Judge based in England and Wales (n 2019) and then salaried Employment Judge in Scotland in 2020. He is able to use his experience as a practitioner and judge in both jurisdictions to inform his approach.
