About the Seminar:
Personal injury practitioners will want to be aware of possible developments in the law of damages, as recommended by the Scottish Law Commission in their recent Report, Scot Law Com No 266 published in December 2024. Topics include extension of section 8 (necessary services) to non-relatives; resolution of the Gaca and Lewicki debate concerning deductibility of Permanent Health Insurance scheme benefits; enhanced supervision of damages payable to children; and a possible solution to a time-bar problem connected with pleural plaques. This up-date will keep busy practitioners in the loop.
