About the event
Dr Charlie Irvine draws on his recent research with Simple Procedure litigants. The findings shed new light on what takes place when courts invite those without legal training to devise their own solutions to legal disputes. Most reach similar results by different means; for some, however, input on the law is an essential backstop against injustice, with implications for mediators, lawyers and the courts.
